@Naturel @YesJulz @CrooksnCastles Art Basel 2014 was in full swing come Thursday, December 4th and Miami’s own Wynwood Art district was full of different individuals from all over the country and world there for one purpose: to check out new art and have some fun. On the outskirts of the Wynwood Art District bordering Overtown and Allapattah, one event took place at a showroom normally used for Imagine Lifestyles Luxury Rentals. California street wear brand, Crooks & Castles displayed their new lifestyle collaboration with artist, Naturel.
Hosted by and curated by Miami’s own YesJulz, individuals were amongst some of the elite in the fashion, art, sports and entertainment industry. Hennessy VS provided the beverages for the night and attendees danced and enjoyed themselves to the sounds of guests DJs such as Vashtie, Bamski, HXV, and the Umbrella Boys. Who’s who of Miami of Miami were in attendance along with people that flew in for Art Basel. Some notable mentions are NFL star Victor Cruz, photographer Jonathan Mannion, retired NFL player Edgerrin James, street wear aficionado Ronnie Fieg, photographer Derick G, and We the Best artist Ace Hood and many more. This was an event that team 8and9 could not miss during Art Basel weekend.
This was not the first time Crooks & Castle and Naturel collaborated together. Last year, the two brands were brought together during Art Basel 2013 and released their first collection. This year the two brands collaborated once more with sofa pillows and carpet reminiscent of Crooks & Castles classic icon of the medusa head with a Naturel spin to it. In addition, the two brands collaborated on jeweler and Naturel had art pieces which were conducive to the lifestyle of Crooks & Castles (i.e. check the photo of the Arm and Hammer Baking Soda and a couple bricks laying around).
