“Not your usual body shop: The Speedshop Type One designed by Torafu Architect surprises with a sleek and minimalistic interior. Free of all superfluous nick-nacks with a focus on servicing functionality, the working space is stripped to its bare essentials. In the course of re-designing the shop, elements originally present, such as the aluminum canopy hanging from the top lights, push carts and the rough-feeling cemented excelsior board walls have been fully integrated into the new concept. In order to highlight the cars on display, the shop is tinted largely in desaturated colours.”
