Sneaker Con Cleveland 2015

by Ray Figgs

The Greatest Sneaker Show On Earth made it's first appearance in Cleveland Ohio March 28th 2015. With this being the first time Team 8and9 setting foot in Ohio, we didn't know what to expect. We've always heard the sneaker scene was poppin' there, so we were excited to see it for ourselves first hand. As usual, Sneakercon never disappoints. The venue was large and there was thousands of people in attendance. Check out a few pics from the show and keep it locked for the next Sneaker Con recap.

As with every city we touch down at with Sneaker Con, we dropped a new Freehandprofit x 8and9 collabo tee limited to 100 pieces. We chose the Cleveland Cavs color scheme for this release. The tees sold out in about 3 hours! We also released our latest Sneaker Con hat to match! Congrats to everyone who was lucky enough to get one!

Each city we touch we make sure to showcase Freehandprofit and his live chop of a pair of sneakers. For our Cleveland visit, he chose to deconstruct a pair of Doom SBs! Groups of people watched as he chopped the Dooms in pieces. Stay tuned for updates on that Doom SB project, it's going to be a sick one!

Sneaker Con Cleveland was a huge success. It was great to see people come in already wearing 8&9 and also the large amount of people looking to purchase our limited edition tee. Thank you to everyone who stopped by to purchase our new Spring items and just to chop it up with us. Cleveland showed us a lot of love and we can't wait to see you guys next year!
